About Dr. Salman A. Arain
Dr. Salman A. Arain is an Associate Professor of Cardiovascular Medicine at McGovern Medical School, UTHealth Houston, and a practicing Interventional Cardiologist at Memorial Hermann Texas Medical Center. He completed his MD from Allama Iqbal Medical College, University of the Punjab in 1996, followed by Internal Medicine residency at Mount Sinai and
St. Maryβs Hospital & Medical Center (Stanford-affiliated). His advanced training includes fellowships in Echocardiography (UCSF) and Cardiovascular Disease & Interventional Cardiology (Ochsner Clinic Foundation).
Board-certified in Cardiovascular Disease and Interventional Cardiology, Dr. Arain is a Fellow of the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography & Interventions (FSCAI). As Program Director of the Interventional Cardiology Fellowship, he mentors fellows, teaches complex techniques, and leads training in advanced procedures such as high-risk PCI, CTO revascularization, and complex peripheral interventions.
